Bioprocess Engineering. Specific areas of interest include:

  1. Bioprocesses related to microbial fermentations, enzymatic reactions, reactor design..
  2. Biotransformation techniques employing microorganisms and enzymes to develop pharmaceuticals and food additives.
  3. Syntheses of Monascus pigment and derivatives, and sweetener dipeptides are being studied. Metabolic regulation and process optimization are also investigated.
